Ramp Up Tech Your Skills
Pique their interest in computer science through exposure to the latest and greatest technologies and the mechanism behind them. They learn flight training with drones, understand microcomputers, use python to manipulate Minecraft and try their hand at game design and development or robotics.

At iCode we focus on educating children to be comfortable with technology and problem solving, so that they will be primed for a lifetime of success in the workplace of the future. Our rigorous curriculum is broad yet structured, so that chidlren build a robust foundation of technical knowledge combined with essential soft skills.

Being able to execute both on a technology focus along with helping kids to build their character is a critical goal at iCode. We rely on our comprehensive (416+ hours of teaching), dynamic curriculum which is delivered using AGILE methodologies to help accomplish this goal. While many places focus on keeping kids busy, we want them to learn.
Repetitive activity is not a substitute for understanding.
By utilizing a combination of fun and engaging exercises alongside a set of balanced topics, we hope to build key traits in kids!
While any STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) program is focused on teaching technology to kids, we believe we would be remiss if we do not use the opportunity to also focus on the key skills children need for the future no matter what career they pursue:

What is the Belt System?
- A comprehensive K – 12 computer science curriculum.
- Starts with Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced, based on age and skill level.
- Eight belts, each containing 6 to 8, one-month sprints.
- Each belt ends with a final project in which students utilize their skills and cement their learning in preparation for the next belt.

Meet iCode East Frisco’s Director
Michael Wood
Michael is an inspirational leader who motivates everyone and strives for greatness. He has a vision to create a huge impact on youth and their interest in technology. He has worked for iCode for the past 3 years as a Sales/Marketing Representative and Technical Lead/Lab Mentor. He attends the University of N. Texas and will graduate in 2019 with a Bachelors of Applied Arts and Sciences – Business Management. He will continue to pursue a MBA with an Information Technology emphasis.
