While campers might not be able to fully develop applications like TikTok, they will be able to build simplified versions and add the features they always wished were included! Using the online tool Thunkable, campers will be able to create beautiful mobile applications for both Android and IOS with just a few clicks and some code. Throughout the week, many popular applications will be reviewed and discussed, to point out key features that make them so useful and fun. By the end of the week, many ground-up projects will be created such as: a storefront app with shopping cart features, a photo-taking and manipulation app with the ability to save, delete and rotate gallery configuration, multiplayer games, and much more! This camp is perfect for anyone who wants to create the next great app!

Microcomputers are small computers being used in all small tech. The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card-sized computer capable of doing just about anything that a full-size computer can. In this camp, each camper will get access to a Raspberry Pi and learn the in’s and out’s of microcomputing. From creating LED circuits, to coding music with Python 3, this camp is all about exposing what these tiny pieces of tech can do! Computers are all around us and getting smaller every day, it’s important to learn how they work before they get so small that you can’t see them anymore!

Tech Avengers is a fun and immersive camp that teaches the fundamental skills in computer science! Campers will learn the creative process of breaking down ideas into smaller tasks with the use of storyboards which become larger comic strip projects. As the camp progresses, each camper will experience the creative side of stop motion animation movies, coding, game design, and digital citizenship all wrapped in a superhero theme.
