Fun and Flexible Game Developement program.
Computer Science learning experiences.
The key focus of this program is to develop and code a game from start to end, gaining skills in game development, game stratgey, and design. Through robotics and other technologies, students benefit from a robust computer science experience.
The self-paced program includes a Gaming Cafe where students have fun sharpening their gaming and competitive skills.
FLEXIBLE
Choose your number of days per week and your desired after school timings. Drop in for one or hour or more from 1 to 5 days/week.
SELF-PACED
Designed for driven sudents to work on concepts individually. A lab mentor is always on hand for assistance when needed.
Beginner Game Development & Design
Soft Skills
Logical thinking, sequencing, social skills, empathy, and sharing.
Learn game design principles. The goal is to gain an understanding of Game Design and be able to analyze games.
Build complex lego models that demonstrate the different aspects of building engineer.
Young students test out their fine motor skills and begin to test their speed and performance in a fun and safe environment.
Build and modify games, using of Python
Soft Skills
Logic, strategy, and critical thinking as well as the importance of respect, collaboration, empathy, and teamwork.
Create games while learning the basics of programming.
Tackle problem solving through Robotics challenges. Most work is conducted independently, and on occasion students work in a team environment.
Students enjoy making Minecraft modifications using the Python coding language. These foundational coding activities in the iCode setting, enhance creativity, problem solving and sportsmanship.
Students put new skills to the test, improve motor skills, speed and agility in a fun and challenging gaming cafe.
In a safe environment, there are many benefits to playing video games. The results are improved memory, attention, motor and strategic and planning skills.
Students are eligible to participate in the Gaming Cafe after completion of 10 hours in the Adventurer or Explorer Pathways.
