How Structured Minecraft and Roblox Programs Help Kids Build Healthy Screen Habits
Screen time is one of the biggest concerns for parents today. The question is no longer just how much time kids spend on devices. It is how they are using that time. At iCode Little Rock, we work with families across Little Rock and nearby communities like Benton, Bryant, and North Little Rock who are looking for better ways to manage their child’s screen time. Most parents are not trying to eliminate screens completely. They want their child’s screen time to feel more productive and less like a daily struggle. Structured programs built around platforms like Minecraft and Roblox are helping make that shift possible. Not All Screen Time Is the Same There is a clear difference between passive and active screen time. Passive screen time includes watching videos or scrolling endlessly. Active screen time involves creating, building, and solving problems. Minecraft and Roblox, when used in the right way, fall into the active category. There’s a lot happening at iCode Little Rock, and we’re excited to keep families updated on all the fun, learning, and hands-on STEM experiences taking place right now! Spring Break Camps Are Here Our Spring Break Camps are in full swing, giving students the chance to dive into exciting tech-based adventures all week long. Current camp themes include: 🎮 Roblox ⛏️ Minecraft 🤖 VEX Robotics 🖨️ 3D Printing These camps are designed to be fun, interactive, and educational, while helping students build creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence with technology. Flexible Class Scheduling This Week Due to Spring Break, our regular after-school classes have been shifted to daytime hours for the week. Families can choose from flexible session times Monday through Saturday to keep students learning while school is out. Looking Ahead to Summer Camps Summer Camp registration is open, and families are already beginning to reserve spots. Our summer programs are a great way for students to stay engaged, make friends, and explore coding, robotics, game design, and more in a fun and welcoming environment.
