Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a K-12 STEAM Instructor located in Lynnwood, WA. The STEAM Instructor will be responsible for leading and facilitating engaging classes focusing on subjects such as robotics, game design, computer programming, and digital arts. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, conducting classes, evaluating student progress, and fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. The instructor will also be responsible for maintaining the classroom tech and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Qualifications
-Experience in Robotics, Game Design, Computer Programming, and Digital Arts
-Strong skills in facilitating and teaching small-group classes
-Ability to prepare and implement lesson plans effectively
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Proficiency in Python, Java, HTML & CSS, and other programming languages
-Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage classroom technology
-Experience with educational technology tools is a plus
-Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
