We are seeking enthusiastic Technical Lead / Coding & STEAM Instructors who are passionate about technology, education, and working with young learners.
The instructor will deliver iCode curriculum, guide students through projects and the iCode Belt Program, evaluate progress, and create a positive and engaging learning environment.
This position may involve teaching both at the iCode Alpharetta campus and at partner schools in the surrounding area. Candidates should therefore be comfortable traveling locally and facilitating classes in different school environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach coding, computer science, and STEAM concepts using iCode curriculum and instructional guidelines.
- Deliver engaging, hands-on classes for students ranging from K–12.
- Facilitate classes at iCode Alpharetta as well as at designated partner schools and off-site program locations.
- Guide students through projects and support their progress through the iCode Belt Program.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and positive classroom environment.
- Assess and document student progress, achievement, participation, and behavior.
- Provide meaningful feedback regarding class material and student dynamics.
- Communicate student progress and updates to parents as required.
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Maintain high standards for classroom organization, equipment, and student experience.
- Collaborate with the campus leadership team and contribute ideas for improving programs and instruction.
Qualifications - Candidates should have a strong interest in computer science and the ability to communicate technical concepts in an engaging, age-appropriate manner.
- Experience or familiarity with Python, JavaScript, HTML, and Alice is preferred.
- Experience with Unity, Minecraft, Roblox, 3D Modelling, GameMaker, robotics, game development, or other STEAM technologies is a plus.

Education & Experience
Ideal candidates include college freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Graduate students and candidates with advanced degrees in Computer Science or related fields are also encouraged to apply.
Exceptional high school students with demonstrated technical ability, a strong Computer Science focus, and leadership involvement in a STEAM or technology club may also be considered. Alumni of iCode programs may qualify based on demonstrated skills and experience.
