Why we love it π Chess is the ultimate game of logic! The Hillsborough Branch is hosting an open, all-ages “Drop-In Chess” hour where kids and teens can test their strategic minds against new opponents. We absolutely love chess events because they pull kids away from their screens while still intensely exercising the analytical, problem-solving, and predictive parts of their brains. Plus, it is a fantastic way to meet other local kids who share a passion for strategy!

In our Python and JavaScript Tracks, we teach kids how to write these exact conditional rules into their code, allowing their games and software to react intelligently to user inputs.
