Why we love it π Every complex robot in the world is actually just a collection of simple machines working together! The Mercer County Library Robbinsville Branch is hosting an incredible hands-on workshop presented by a local Girl Scout. Kids will get to explore how weight, gravity, and leverage affect simple machines, learn the difference between mass and weight, and experiment with balancing physical objects. We absolutely love engineering events like this because they give kids a tangible, real-world understanding of the forces that shape our universe!

Coding Digital Physics Engines: How do video games like Angry Birds or Minecraft know how objects should fall, bounce, or balance? Developers code a “Physics Engine”! In our Game Design Tracks (Python & Unity), we teach kids how to convert real-world concepts like weight, mass, and gravity into digital algorithms. This workshop provides the perfect intuitive breakthrough for how things balance in real life before students code them onto a screen.
