β‘ Open-Source Hardware & C++ Logic: Arduino Workshop + iCode! ππ»
Event: Robotics & Arduino Workshop Series
When: Saturday, June 2026 (Check library calendar for exact dates/times)
Where: Mercer County Library System β West Windsor Branch (West Windsor Room 1)
Event link: MCL West Windsor Events
Who itβs for: Tweens & Teens (Ages 10+)
Why we love it π You donβt have to work in a secret lab to build incredible technology! The Mercer County Library System is hosting an amazing, hands-on “Robotics & Arduino Workshop Series” at the West Windsor branch. Tweens and teens will get to roll up their sleeves and work directly with Arduinoβthe world’s most popular open-source electronics platform. We absolutely love Arduino events because they strip away the plastic casing of modern technology, allowing kids to physically wire up breadboards, connect LEDs, and write the actual code that brings their circuits to life!
How this event aligns with iCode Princeton πβοΈ Wiring a physical Arduino board is the exact foundation needed to master Open-Source Hardware and C++ Programming!
-
Open-Source Hardware (IoT): A microcontroller like an Arduino is the “brain” behind the Internet of Things (IoT)βitβs what makes a smart thermostat or a robotic arm function! In our Hardware and Robotics Tracks, we teach kids how to safely engineer these exact physical systems. They learn how to read schematic diagrams, wire physical sensors, and build their very own interactive tech devices from scratch.
-
C++ Logic & Syntax: You can build a great circuit, but it wonβt do anything until you tell it how to act! Arduino boards are programmed using a language very close to C++. In our advanced Computer Science Tracks, we teach older students how to write this exact type of professional, text-based code. They learn how to use syntax, loops, and conditional logic to send electrical commands directly from their computer screen into the physical world.
Join the fun, then keep the momentum going at iCode ππ Wire the circuits at the library, then bring that world-class engineering logic to iCode Princeton where we teach you how to write the advanced code!
