Why we love it 💛 It’s time to look to the skies! The Hickory Corner Library is hosting an incredible weekend workshop called “Aerospace Adventures with Annika.” Designed to inspire young minds to pursue future careers in the aerospace and aviation industry, this hands-on event uses fun crafts and informative presentations to teach kids the basics of how both airplanes and drones take flight. We absolutely love STEM events like this because they take high-level physics and engineering concepts and make them accessible, fun, and totally engaging for early elementary students!

How this event aligns with iCode Princeton 🌈⚙️ The aerodynamics that keep an airplane in the sky are the exact same principles we use to program autonomous drones!

• Drone Programming: Learning the physical basics of a drone is just step one! In our Drone Programming Tracks, students take that knowledge to the next level by writing the actual mathematical code needed to adjust propeller speeds, calculate angles, and make a drone fly perfectly through complex obstacle courses.

• Aerospace Engineering: Before a drone can fly, it needs the right hardware. At iCode, we teach students how hardware and software must work together perfectly. By understanding the physics of lift, drag, and weight, kids learn the true engineering mindset required to build machines that defy gravity.
