Why we love it 💛 It is never too early to start protecting our planet! The Princeton Public Library has teamed up with the incredible Princeton Conservation Society at Princeton University to host “Eco Explorers,” a monthly club dedicated to environmental science. This April, early elementary kids will dive into exactly why our environment is so important through a mix of engaging stories, hands-on activities, and crafts. We absolutely love early environmental education because it teaches empathy, biology, and the realization that our actions have a direct impact on the world around us.

How this event aligns with iCode Princeton 🌈⚙️ Ecosystems are the perfect biological example of “Systems Thinking”!

• Systems and Networks: The environment is a massive system where the weather, soil, plants, and animals all rely on each other to survive. In our STEAM Junior Program, we teach kids how to apply this exact same systems-based logic to technology! They learn how different commands, hardware, and software networks must all work together to make a computer function.

• Tech for Good: At iCode, we want to raise the next generation of innovators! By understanding the environment, young kids learn the sustainable design-thinking required to build apps, hardware, and robotics that can actually help solve global challenges.
