Why we love it 💛 A farm is one of the most complex, interconnected ecosystems in the world! Terhune Orchards is hosting a fantastic, hands-on agricultural science program where young kids get to learn all about farm animals. This unique program combines a hands-on farm activity with listening to a story highlighting a specific area of the farm. We absolutely love outdoor biology events for early learners because they teach kids how different living parts of a system rely on each other to survive and thrive!

• Systems Thinking: A farm requires inputs (food, water) to produce outputs (growth). In our Python and JavaScript Tracks, we teach students how to build their own digital systems, understanding how independent blocks of code (like animals on a farm) communicate and interact to keep the program running smoothly.

• Tactile Logic: Young brains learn best by touching and observing the real world. In our STEAM Junior Track, we tap into that exact same natural curiosity, using visual block-coding and early robotics to let kids animate their own digital animals and biomes!
