Why we love it π Science grows right from the ground up! The beloved Terhune Orchards is kicking off their fantastic “Read & Pick” educational series with a special Earth Day-inspired morning all about growing a garden. Kids will enjoy a storytime highlighting nature’s bounty, followed by a hands-on farm activity where everyone gets to play farmer and plant their very own seeds to take home! We absolutely love farm-based science because it teaches early learners about the lifecycle of plants, biology, and how our local ecosystems thrive!

Inputs and Outputs: A seed requires specific inputs (water, sunlight, and soil) to produce an output (a sprouting plant). In our STEAM Junior Program, we teach kids how to apply this exact same logic to technology! They learn how computers require specific inputs (like clicking a mouse or typing a command) to create exciting digital outputs on the screen.
