Why we love it 💛 Manufacturing is no longer limited to massive factories—you can do it right at the library! The Mercer County Library System frequently hosts “Intro to 3D Printing” workshops where kids and teens can learn how to turn their digital ideas into physical, touchable objects. We absolutely love 3D printing events because they show kids that the code they write on a computer screen can actually come to life and physically exist in the real world!

Z-Axis Geometry (3D Modeling): A standard printer only knows left, right, up, and down. A 3D printer adds depth! In our Game Design and Digital Arts Tracks, we teach kids how to master this exact spatial logic. Students learn how to use professional software to manipulate the X, Y, and Z axes, sculpting digital geometry to build custom items, architectural models, and video game assets from scratch.

Rapid Prototyping: If a 3D print comes out wrong, you just tweak the design and print it again! In our Core Computer Science and Robotics Tracks, we teach students this exact engineering mindset.
