Why we love it π Imagination is the heart of engineering! For this week’s drop-in play session at the Princeton Public Library, the theme is “Farm Friends.” Kids and their caregivers will have a blast engaging in imaginative play centered around animals, farm life, and how everything on a farm works together. We love imaginative play themes like this because they encourage kids to create scenarios, solve pretend problems, and think about how different elements interact within a single environment!
How this event aligns with iCode Princeton πβοΈ A farm is just a complex system of interconnected partsβexactly like a software program!
-
Systems Thinking: On a farm, the tractor needs fuel, the animals need food, and the plants need water. Understanding how these things connect is called “Systems Thinking.” In our STEAM Junior Program, we teach kids how to apply this exact same logic to technology! They learn how different coding blocks work together to make a character move or a robot spin.
-
Building Digital Worlds: If your child loves creating pretend farms and towns, they will thrive in our Game Design and Roblox Tracks as they get older! We teach students how to use their imaginations to build, design, and code their own massive 3D worlds, complete with interacting environments and automated systems.
