πŸ› οΈ Tinker, Build, and Create: New at the Maker Station + STEAM at iCode Princeton! βš™οΈπŸŽ¨

Event: New at the Maker Station this March!

When: Ongoing throughout March 2026

Where: Pennington Public Library (Maker Station), 30 N Main St, Pennington, NJ

Event link: Pennington Library Maker Station

Who it’s for: Kids, Families, and Young Makers

Why we love it πŸ’› We are obsessed with anything that encourages a “maker mindset”! This March, the Pennington Public Library is refreshing their Maker Station with new hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Maker stations are incredible community resources because they give kids a physical, low-pressure space to tinker with new materials, solve problems with their hands, and bring their ideas to life. Whether it’s paper circuits, building blocks, or crafts, it all starts with the courage to just start making!

How this event aligns with iCode Princeton πŸŒˆβš™οΈ At iCode, the Maker mindset is the foundation of everything we teach! Exploring a library Maker Station is the perfect launchpad for design thinking. When your child is ready to take their physical crafting skills to the next level, here is how we upgrade their tinkering into real-world tech:

  • πŸ“ From Crafts to CAD: Do they love creating physical shapes and figures at the Maker Station? We teach students how to translate those physical building skills into digital tools! In our 2D & 3D Design tracks, kids learn how to use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to prototype and 3D print their own custom parts, figures, and keychains.

  • πŸ€– Bring Creations to Life: Kids who love getting their hands dirty with physical building will absolutely thrive in our VEX Robotics programs. We take those foundational maker skills and add real motors, sensors, and Python/Java code so their creations can actually move and interact with the world.

  • 🧩 Tactile Tech for Early Learners: For our youngest makers (ages 5+), we continue the tactile fun in our STEAM Junior Program. By blending physical Snap Circuits and beginner-friendly block coding, we help kids understand the cause-and-effect mechanics behind the technology they use every day.

Join the fun, then keep the momentum going at iCode πŸŽ’πŸš€ Start with an inspiring afternoon at the library’s Maker Station, then bring that curiosity to iCode Princeton where we turn big ideas into real-world tech skills!
