Who itβs for: Kids Ages 4β12 and their families!
Why we love it π Why search for eggs in the grass when you can search for them in the pool?! The Princeton YMCA is hosting an “Eggs-stravaganza” Aquatic Easter Egg Hunt, putting a completely unique, active twist on a springtime classic. Kids grab their swimsuits, towels, and plastic buckets and hop in the water to collect floating eggs, which they then trade in for a goodie bag! It is an incredibly fun, physical way to burn off some weekend energy while practicing goal-oriented searching and spatial awareness in the water.

Algorithmic Logic: When a child scans the surface of the pool, swims to an egg, and collects it, they are executing a physical algorithm! In our Python and Java Belts, kids learn how to write the exact digital algorithms that allow computers to search through massive amounts of data to find exactly what they are looking for.

Game Mechanics: Does your child love the thrill of a scavenger hunt? In our Game Development Track, we teach kids how to code those exact mechanics into their own digital games, programming custom “collectible” items, randomized spawn locations, and win conditions just like trading in those eggs for a prize!
