Why we love it π Legos are the ultimate building blocks of imagination! We absolutely love when local libraries host dedicated, screen-free time for kids to just sit down and build. Held right here at the Ewing branch, this afternoon free-play session lets kids collaborate with their peers, tackle a building challenge as a team, or design their own masterpieces from scratch. Figuring out how to make a Lego tower stand tall or an analog vehicle roll smoothly teaches the absolute core fundamentals of structural engineering, spatial reasoning, and creative problem-solving!
How this event aligns with iCode Princeton πβοΈ We like to call Legos “analog pixels.” The way a child stacks bricks to create a shape is the exact same logic they will use to build a digital world!

From Physical to Digital: Did your child love building a structure? We teach students how to bring those physical designs into the digital world! In our 2D & 3D Design tracks, kids learn how to use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to prototype, model, and 3D-print their own custom structures.

Hardware Engineering: Figuring out how Lego pieces lock together is the perfect prerequisite for our VEX Robotics labs. We teach kids how to take their structural knowledge and build sturdy robotic chassis from scratch, eventually adding motors, sensors, and code to make their creations come alive!
