Why we love it π We absolutely love how dedicated the Mercer County Library System is to early tech education! In this special school-age program, the Hickory Corner Branch focuses on a different element of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math every single week. It is a fantastic, low-pressure afterschool activity that gets kids away from passive screen time and gets them building, experimenting, and thinking critically alongside their peers.
How this event aligns with iCode Princeton πβοΈ Curiosity is the engine of innovation! The hands-on problem-solving kids practice at the library is the exact same foundation we use to teach coding and engineering at iCode:
-
π§ Playful Foundations, Real Skills: The early logic and tactile play kids experience at library programs perfectly mirrors our STEAM Junior Program. We meet our youngest learners (ages 5+) right where they are, using block coding and physical Snap Circuits to teach the cause-and-effect mechanics behind the tech they use every day.
-
π οΈ The Maker Mindset: Do they love the physical building or crafts at the library? We take that hands-on energy and add real hardware! In our VEX Robotics and Drone Programming tracks, kids learn how to physically construct robots and write the code to make them move.
Join the funβthen keep the momentum going at iCode ππ
