Why iCode Princeton loves this 🤖 Community events that spark early imagination are our jam! Mercer County Library’s Free Play with mTiny Robots invites children ages 4 to 7 to dive into screen-free coding. By using a tap-to-code pen and physical puzzle pieces, kids learn sequencing, spatial awareness, and problem-solving through play. That’s exactly how we introduce STEAM at iCode: hands-on, curious, and totally engaging!

How this event aligns with iCode Princeton 🌈⚙️

• Tactile Tech Foundations: Little learners use mTiny to explore cause-and-effect and basic logic. This is the perfect on-ramp to iCode’s blend of creativity and technology! As kids grow, we connect those same concepts to our STEAM Junior program, where they use Snap Circuits and block-based coding to build foundational tech skills.

• Problem Solving & Iteration: Free play encourages trial and error. Try, tweak, repeat—just like our studio sessions! Kids learn that “mistakes” are just the first step in debugging and improving their designs.

• From Tots to Techies: Today it’s tap-to-code robots at the library; tomorrow it’s Roblox/Minecraft game design, VEX robotics, and web & mobile app dev! We meet students right where they are and level them up through our progression-based STEAM After-School Belt Program.
