Math Madness at Liberty Science Center: Puzzles, Probability, and Coding Magic with iCode Princeton! ➗🧩🤖

Event: Math Madness

When: Thursday, March 12 – Sunday, March 15, 2026

Where: Liberty Science Center (LSC), Jersey City, NJ

Event link: lsc.org/explore/exhibitions/math-madness

Why iCode Princeton ❤️ this event 🧮 We’re going mad for math! Liberty Science Center is throwing an epic, mind-bending Pi Day weekend celebration filled with infinite possibilities. Kids get to test their skills in games of probability, use geometry to create dazzling art, solve intricate puzzles, and even do some “Math Yoga.” Plus, if you visit on March 14 or 15, Sesame Street’s Elmo and Count Von Count will be there for free keepsake photos! We love any event that makes numbers fun, interactive, and completely hands-on.

How this event aligns with iCode Princeton 🌈⚙️ Math isn’t just about equations on a whiteboard, it’s the secret language behind every video game, app, and robot! The activities at LSC are the exact same foundational skills our students use to become incredible programmers:

  • Probability & Game Design: Playing games of probability at the museum? That is the exact logic we use in our Game Development tracks! Whether students are building in Roblox, Minecraft, or Python, they use math and logic to determine win states, spawn rates, and character movement.

  • Geometry meets Art & 3D Design: LSC’s geometric art activities are the perfect warm-up for our 2D/3D Design & 3D Printing belts. Understanding shapes, symmetry, and angles is exactly how our students model their 3D prototypes in CAD software before bringing them to life on the 3D printer.

  • Solving Intricate Puzzles: Logic puzzles teach critical thinking and sequence, the core of coding! We take those puzzle-solving skills and level them up into Robotics and Programming, where kids learn to debug code and program VEX robots to navigate complex challenge courses.

Join the fun, then keep the momentum going at iCode 🎒🚀 Make the road trip up to LSC for an incredible day of Math Madness. Once your kids see how fun numbers and logic can be, bring them to iCode Princeton to show them how to build their own tech with it!
