Why we love it 💛 Weekends are for creating! Just a quick drive away at the SCLSNJ Hillsborough branch, the library is hosting a fantastic, open-ended “Saturday Drop-In Fun” session. Kids, tweens, and teens are invited to drop in at any point during the afternoon to make a fun craft or build a simple physical project to take home. We absolutely love unstructured, drop-in making events like this because they allow kids to explore their creativity in a totally pressure-free environment. Without strict rules or graded instructions, they are completely free to experiment with materials, test their ideas, and build something unique!

• The “Maker Mindset”: Whether you are building a physical craft out of paper and glue or coding a digital project using loops and variables, the problem-solving process is exactly the same! At iCode, we teach our students the “Maker Mindset”, the ability to take a blank canvas, brainstorm a creative idea, test different solutions, and build a finished product from scratch.

• The “A” in STEAM: Technology isn’t just about raw math; it requires a creative eye! In our Game Design, Digital Arts, and Roblox Tracks, we teach kids how to merge the strict logic of coding with the beautiful, creative expression of art, ensuring their digital projects look just as incredible as they function.
