Why we love it ๐ It is time to grab a controller and play! The SCLSNJ Watchung Branch is hosting a dedicated hour of Nintendo Switch gaming specifically for early elementary students. Kids are invited to hang out, play popular multiplayer titles like Mario Kart, and connect with their peers. We absolutely love youth gaming events because they turn a typically solo hobby into a collaborative, community-building activity that encourages teamwork, friendly competition, and communication!

Deconstructing Mechanics: When kids play games, they are naturally learning how digital physics engines work. How high can Mario jump? How fast does the kart go? At iCode, we teach our Scratch and STEAM Junior students how to look under the hood and actually write the code that creates those exact same mechanics!
