Why we love it π Every great engineer starts by building with blocks! The MCLS West Windsor Branch is hosting a fantastic, hands-on LEGO Building Challenge for elementary-aged kids. This monthβs specific theme is to build the best Castle & Tower! Kids are given a creative engineering prompt and must use their spatial logic, problem-solving skills, and structural knowledge to build a physical prototype. Plus, the library will even feature their creations in a display for the rest of the month! We absolutely love LEGO events because they teach the foundational mechanics of weight distribution, balance, and physical architecture in a highly engaging, tactile environment.

Structural Integrity: Before you can build a robot, you need to understand how pieces lock together to create a sturdy frame. In our Robotics and Hardware Tracks, we teach kids the exact same principles of structural integrity using LEGO, motors, and snap circuits!

3D Design & Rendering: Recreating a physical castle requires immense spatial reasoning. We teach our older students in the Unreal Engine, Minecraft, and Roblox Tracks how to take structural concepts and build them digitally, creating highly detailed 3D maps and castles inside their own video games.
