Why we love it 💛 What is better than learning science from actual Ivy League researchers? We absolutely love that the Princeton University Science Outreach team travels to local libraries like the Trenton Free Public Library to bring interactive, hands-on STEM projects directly to the kids! Giving elementary students the chance to roll up their sleeves, ask questions, and build experiments alongside university students is an incredible way to bridge the gap and show them what a future in STEM looks like.

How this event aligns with iCode Princeton 🌈⚙️ The incredible, real-world science being shared by these university researchers relies completely on data analysis and computer science!

• Project-Based Mastery: Just like the university students run hands-on experiments, our students in the STEAM After-School Belt Program are tasked with building their own capstone projects. Whether it’s coding a website or wiring a robot, they learn by doing!

• Mentorship & Confidence: Seeing college students show off their tech is incredibly inspiring. In our labs, our dedicated instructors provide that exact same mentorship, guiding students step-by-step from beginner block coding all the way to advanced software engineering.
