Why we love it 💛 Nothing puts your brain to the test quite like a real-world escape room or puzzle hunt! The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) is bringing back the highly anticipated second iteration of MAPS—their Annual Puzzle-hunt Series. Led by puzzle-creator extraordinaire Rik Sengupta, teams of 4 to 6 players will roam the incredible exhibits of MoMath in person, working together to solve a gauntlet of complex, logic-based puzzles. We absolutely love intensive puzzle events for our older students because they simulate the exact kind of high-stakes, collaborative problem-solving required in real-world software engineering!

How this event aligns with iCode Princeton 🌈⚙️ Software development is just a massive, multiplayer puzzle!

  • Collaborative Problem Solving: In the tech industry, no one builds an app alone. Engineers work in teams (often using “Pair Programming” or Agile frameworks) to solve complex logic issues. At iCode, we emphasize this collaborative environment, teaching our teens how to communicate, delegate, and tackle heavy codebases as a unified team.

  • Cryptography & Logic: Many high-level puzzles rely on ciphers, hidden patterns, and sequential logic. In our Cybersecurity and Advanced Python Tracks, we teach high schoolers how to write the exact same encryption algorithms, giving them the tools to decode data, secure networks, and think like a true digital detective.
