Why we love it π What happens when you put a massive youth robotics tournament in the middle of a shopping mall? Pure excitement! Just a quick trip up Route 1, the Menlo Park Mall is hosting the 4th Annual Menlo Park Mashup. Over 20 local FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams will take over the center court to compete in robot runs, showcase their innovative designs, and be judged on their coding skills. It is an incredibly high-energy, fun environment, and anyone can stop by to watch these young engineers in action!
How this event aligns with iCode Princeton πβοΈ The robots you see navigating the arena didn’t build themselves, they were designed, wired, and programmed entirely by kids!
-
Real Hardware, Real Code: If your child is inspired by the FLL robots, they will absolutely thrive in our VEX Robotics track. We take those foundational building skills to the next level, teaching kids how to wire actual sensors, calibrate advanced motors, and write the Python and C++ code needed to make their robots complete complex autonomous tasks.
-
Teamwork & Troubleshooting: Competitive robotics is not a solo sport! In our labs, students learn how to collaborate, test, fail, and troubleshoot as a team. We teach the resilience and rapid problem-solving skills needed to succeed in an arena setting!
