Why we love it 💛 There is no better way to learn about structural engineering than with the ultimate building block! The SCLSNJ Manville Branch is hosting an awesome, drop-in LEGO® Club where elementary and middle schoolers are invited to use their creativity to conquer exciting building challenges. We absolutely love collaborative LEGO events like this because they are completely open-ended. Kids are given a prompt and then must rely on their own imagination, spatial logic, and structural understanding to build a solution entirely from scratch!

The “Maker Mindset”: Whether you are building a physical object out of plastic bricks or coding a digital application, the problem-solving process is exactly the same! At iCode, we teach our students the “Maker Mindset”—the ability to take a blank canvas, brainstorm a creative idea, test different solutions, and build a finished product from scratch.

Spatial Logic: Every time a child snaps two physical blocks together, they are actively developing their 3D spatial awareness. We teach our early learners how to map this exact same spatial logic onto a digital screen. It’s the exact foundation they need to eventually transition into 3D modeling, robotics, and complex digital architecture in our VEX Robotics and Game Design Labs!
