Why iCode Princeton loves this 👻
Community events that spark imagination are our jam! A costume parade is the perfect launchpad for design thinking—kids sketch ideas, iterate on materials, and bring a concept to life. That’s exactly how we teach STEAM at iCode: design → prototype → test → share.
Make it more than a costume: turn it into a STEAM project!
🖍️ 2D Concept Art: Have your child sketch their costume plan (front/back views).
📐 3D Design: Translate the sketch into simple 3D parts (armor plates, badges, emblems) using beginner-friendly CAD tools we teach in our STEAM After-School Belt Program.
🖨️ 3D Printing: Print lightweight pieces (crowns, nameplates, mask accents) and attach with velcro or elastic.
🧪 Iteration: Try, tweak, repeat—just like our studio sessions!
👉 New to iCode? Book a free trial class and we’ll help your child bring a mini costume accessory from idea to reality before parade day.
