Why iCode Princeton 💛 this event We believe you are never too young to start asking, “Why does that happen?” Mercer County Library’s Little Explorers program at the Robbinsville Branch is a fantastic 30-minute adventure tailored specifically for children ages 3 to 5 (and their grown-ups!). Packed with hands-on science and art activities, it’s all about sensory play, early engineering, and messy, joyous discovery. That same curiosity-first mindset is the exact foundation we build upon every day in our labs!

• Curiosity & Cause-and-Effect: When toddlers mix colors or build simple structures, they are learning the basics of cause-and-effect and logic. Those are the exact same problem-solving muscles they will eventually use to debug code and engineer robots!

• Hands-On Maker Energy: We learn best by doing. Turning raw materials into a fun science craft teaches children how to take a concept and make it real—mirroring the design-and-prototype process our older students use.

• From Tots to Techies: Today it’s guided sensory science at the library; tomorrow it’s block coding, Snap Circuits, and robotics! We meet eager young minds right where they are with our STEAM Junior program, helping them transition their love of exploration into foundational tech skills.
