Why we love it 💛 Step right up! The SCLSNJ Montgomery Branch is transforming its meeting room into a vibrant, fun-filled Spring Carnival. Kids and their families are invited to drop in for an exciting evening of classic carnival games, challenges, and awesome prizes! (Note: Please arrive between 5:30 and 6:00 PM as entry may not be granted after the main library closes!) We absolutely love social, community-building events like this because they give kids a chance to unplug, celebrate the spring season, and test their physical skills and coordination in a highly interactive environment!

• Probability & Balancing: Have you ever noticed that carnival games are specifically designed to be challenging? That relies entirely on mathematical probability! In our Game Design and Roblox Tracks, we teach kids how to use this exact same math to balance their video games. They learn how to write code that dictates the odds of a player winning, ensuring their digital games are challenging but still incredibly fun to play.

• Physics & Trajectory: Whether you are tossing a ring onto a bottle or trying to knock over a stack of cups, you are actively calculating force, trajectory, and gravity. At iCode, we teach our students how to map this exact same spatial logic onto a digital screen. They learn how to program “digital physics engines” to ensure that the objects in their video games fall, bounce, and collide just like they do in the real world!
