Why we love it π Engineering starts on the playroom floor! The Princeton Public Library is hosting a drop-in “Playtime Fun” session centered entirely around building. Young children and their caregivers are invited to explore the library’s collection of blocks and building materials in a relaxed, social learning space. We absolutely love unstructured building events for early learners because they allow kids to naturally experiment with gravity, balance, and geometry without any rigid rules getting in the way!

Spatial Logic: Every time a child stacks a block, they are calculating 3D space in their minds. At iCode, we take this exact same spatial logic and map it onto a digital screen in our STEAM Junior Track. Kids transition from building physical towers to building digital ones! * Algorithmic Sequences: To build a wall, you have to place the bottom blocks before the top blocks. This teaches kids “Sequential Logic”! We use this exact concept to teach our youngest students how algorithms work, demonstrating that computers (just like block towers) need their instructions stacked in the perfect order to function.
