Why we love it π Engineering requires quick thinking and hands-on creativity! The Hollowbrook Branch is hosting a fast-paced, high-energy “Play-Doh Challenge.” Kids will be given specific challenge cards and have to race against the ticking clock to mold, sculpt, and build exactly what the card instructs. We absolutely love this event because it takes traditional art and turns it into a brain-teasing engineering challenge, forcing kids to think critically about shapes, structural integrity, and time management!
How this event aligns with iCode Princeton πβοΈ Sculpting a model out of clay is the very first step of rapid prototyping and 3D digital design!

Rapid Prototyping: In the tech industry, engineers have to build quick, physical models of their ideas before they write the software. The trial-and-error sculpting kids practice in this challenge is the exact same “Maker Mindset” we foster in our STEAM Junior and Robotics labs!

From Physical to Digital: Did your child love building their Play-Doh creation under pressure? We teach students how to bring those 3D models into the digital world! In our Game Development Track, kids learn how to use professional software to sculpt, render, and program their own custom 3D structures in platforms like Roblox and Unreal Engine.
