Why we love it π What is better than learning about science? Learning it directly from the experts! The Princeton Public Library is hosting an incredible, hands-on “Science Saturday” where actual scientists from Princeton University guide local students through real-world STEM activities. We absolutely love this monthly program because it takes high-level scientific concepts out of the textbook and puts them directly into the hands of middle schoolers, showing them that a career in STEM is both exciting and entirely within their reach!

The Scientific Method: When a scientist runs an experiment, they form a hypothesis, test it, and analyze the results. In our coding labs, we teach students this exact same process! When writing software, our teens learn how to write a block of code, test it, and debug the errors until it works perfectly.

Data Analysis: Modern science relies heavily on computers to track and model massive amounts of data. In our advanced Python and Java Belts, we teach older students the exact programming languages that university scientists use every single day to automate their research, build predictive models, and organize complex databases!
