🤔 What is a Belt?

Think of a Belt as your child’s learning level and pathway at iCode.

Each Belt introduces age-appropriate STEM skills and builds on what students have already learned, so they can continue growing in coding, robotics, game design, engineering, and problem-solving.

As students gain confidence and experience, they can progress into more advanced Belts.

🧸 My child is six and has never done STEM before. Where should they start?

STEM Jr. is designed for younger children who are ready to explore coding, robotics, engineering, and problem-solving in a fun, hands-on way.

Students build, experiment, and learn through activities that feel playful and approachable. It is a great starting point for curious kids who love asking questions and making things.

🤖 My child loves robots and working with his hands. Which Belt should I look at?

White Belt is a favorite for kids who enjoy building and figuring out how things work. Students use robotics and coding to learn sequencing, logic, engineering, and problem-solving.

Parents often love this Belt because kids can actually see their code come to life through the robots they build and program.

🎮 My child is obsessed with Minecraft and Roblox. Can that actually become a learning experience?

Absolutely. Gray Belt uses platforms kids already love, including Minecraft Education and Roblox Studio, to teach game development, coding logic, 3D design, and programming.

Students begin to understand what happens behind the screen and learn how to become creators instead of simply players.

🚀 What if my child already has some coding experience and wants more of a challenge?

Orange Belt is designed for students who are ready to go deeper. They work on more advanced projects, solve increasingly complex problems, and take greater ownership of their work.

Orange Belt is a strong fit for kids who enjoy a challenge and want to keep building their confidence and technical skills.

💡 Does my child need prior coding experience to join a Belt?

Not necessarily. Our programs are designed to meet students where they are, and our team can help determine the best starting point based on age, interests, and experience. The most important thing is that they are curious and willing to try.
