Why Reading and STEM Go Together Better Than You Think

One thing we always tell parents is that reading and STEM aren’t separate worlds. The best engineers, coders, and scientists are also strong communicators and creative thinkers — and that starts with books. Research from the National Science Foundation shows that children who engage with science-themed books before age 7 are significantly more likely to pursue STEM careers. Every page your child turns is building something.

At iCode Ravenswood, we combine that love of learning with hands-on experience. We want our students to read about robotics, coding, and engineering.  If your child has been inspired by any of these books and is ready to take their curiosity further, we’d love to be the place where that happens.
